Terms of Use

Welcome to SlideLynk. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and SlideLynk ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the SlideLynk desktop application, mobile application, Apple Watch companion app, Android Watch companion app, website (slidelynk.com), and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By downloading, installing, or using any SlideLynk application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

SlideLynk is a wireless presentation remote that enables you to control presentation software (such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote) on your computer from your phone, tablet, Apple Watch, or Android Watch over your local Wi-Fi network.

The Service includes:

• Desktop Application — runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux; acts as the presentation controller server
• Mobile Application — runs on Android and iOS; acts as the wireless remote
• Apple Watch App — a companion wearable app for slide control from your wrist (iOS)
• Android Watch App — a companion wearable app for slide control from your wrist (Android)
• Website — provides product information, downloads, blog content, and support

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or use the optional sign-in features of SlideLynk. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

The core presentation remote functionality (without sign-in) may be used by anyone.

Optional Sign-In

SlideLynk's core features work without an account. You may optionally sign in using Google or Apple to access additional features such as:

• Subscription syncing across devices
• Team management (creating or joining teams)
• Cross-device preferences

Account Responsibilities

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Promptly notifying us at support@slidelynk.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

Free Plan

SlideLynk offers a free tier with the following features and limitations:

• 2 sessions per day (60 minutes each)
• 1 saved computer
• Basic slide controls (next, previous, start/stop presentation)
• QR code connection and auto-discovery on your local Wi-Fi network
• Local Wi-Fi control — all slide commands stay on your network

Pro Plan

The Pro subscription unlocks the full SlideLynk experience, including:

• Unlimited sessions with no time limits
• Unlimited saved computers
• Volume button navigation for hands-free slide control
• Pocket Mode — lock the phone face-down to prevent accidental taps
• Jump-to-slide — navigate directly to any slide number
• Screen blanking (black or white) to focus audience attention on the speaker
• Apple Watch and Android Watch control
• Password-protected access and access control on the desktop server
• Active Deck switching for multiple open PowerPoint files
• Team sharing — one Pro teammate seat included; additional seats available (see Team Sharing)

• $4.99 per year USD (or the regional equivalent shown in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store at the time of purchase)
• A 14-day free trial is included. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

Premium Plan

The Premium subscription includes everything in Pro, plus Presenter View on the mobile app:

• Presenter View layouts — Notes, Preview, or Split
• Speaker notes from PowerPoint or Keynote on your phone
• Slide preview — live video of your slideshow display or snapshot stills, with laser pointer
• Wireless trackpad — move, click, scroll, and right-click from your phone
• Jump, Deck, and Present tools inside Presenter View
• Presentation timer — elapsed or countdown with alerts
• Team sharing — one Pro teammate seat included; additional Pro and Premium seats available (see Team Sharing)

• $19.99 per year USD (or the regional equivalent shown in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store at the time of purchase)
• A 14-day free trial is included. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

Billing and Renewal

SlideLynk Pro, Premium, and extra team seats are annual auto-renewing subscriptions. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation of purchase
• All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store; we do not receive, process, or store your payment information
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings
• Use Restore Purchases in the app to recover your subscription on a new device
• Google or Apple sign-in is required to purchase Pro or Premium and sync your subscription across devices
• New Pro and Premium subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the annual subscription price is charged to your store account

Team Sharing

Every Pro and Premium subscription includes one teammate seat with Pro-level access. Owners may purchase additional seats as separate annual auto-renewing subscriptions:

• Extra Pro seat — $2.99 per year USD per seat, available to Pro and Premium subscribers
• Extra Premium seat — $4.99 per year USD per seat, available to Premium subscribers only

Regional equivalents shown in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store apply. Seats are billed, renewed, and cancelled like other subscriptions (see Billing and Renewal) and do not include a free trial.

Owners invite members by email, link, QR code, or invite code, and choose which members hold Pro or Premium seats. A member's access depends on the seat assigned to them and on the owner maintaining an active subscription. If the owner's subscription lapses, team members revert to the Free plan. If extra seats are cancelled or expire, or if a Premium owner moves to Pro (Premium seats only apply on the Premium plan), members without a funded seat lose team access until a seat is available. Team owners may optionally hide the member list from other members; members still see the owner and themselves.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to adjust pricing at any time. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after notice is provided. Existing subscribers will be notified via the app or release notes before any increase takes effect.

Refunds

Refund policies are governed by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Please contact Apple or Google directly for refund requests.

You agree to use SlideLynk only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the Service to control, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to any computer, device, or network other than your own
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any SlideLynk application
• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works based on the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose
• Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions, free-tier limits, or any technical protections
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any viruses, malware, or harmful code through or in connection with the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access or interact with the Service in an unauthorized manner
• Exploit the team-sharing feature to provide Pro or Premium access to users beyond the permitted limit

Our Rights

All content, features, functionality, design, branding, trademarks, logos, and source code of SlideLynk are and remain the exclusive property of SlideLynk and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property except the limited license to use the Service as described herein.

Your Content

Your slides, documents, and files remain under your control. SlideLynk does not upload presentation content to our servers or the cloud. When you use Premium Presenter View, speaker notes and slide preview frames may travel only over your local network between your computer and your connected phone — they are not stored by SlideLynk. We claim no ownership or rights over your content.

Feedback

If you voluntarily provide feedback, suggestions, or feature requests, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback into the Service without obligation to you.

SlideLynk's core functionality operates entirely on your local Wi-Fi network. All communication between the desktop and mobile applications is local — no data is transmitted to external servers or the internet for the purpose of slide control.

You are responsible for the security of your local network. We recommend:

• Using a secure, password-protected Wi-Fi network
• Enabling the optional password protection feature on your desktop server
• Managing trusted devices through the desktop application's Device Manager

SlideLynk integrates with the following third-party services for optional features:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, In-App Messaging) — for account management, team features, crash reporting, and notifications
• Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In — for authentication
• Apple App Store and Google Play Store — for subscription purchases
• Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — on the website only, for aggregate page traffic and Core Web Vitals performance metrics
• Google Firebase Analytics — on the website only, for aggregate page views and download click counts. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

"As Is" Basis

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.

No Guarantee

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The Service will be compatible with all presentation software, devices, or network configurations
• Any errors or defects will be corrected
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SlideLynk, its officers, directors, employees, agents, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ten US dollars ($10.00), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SlideLynk and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use or misuse of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of a third party
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation

By You

You may stop using SlideLynk at any time by uninstalling the applications. To delete your account and associated data, see our account deletion page or contact support@slidelynk.com.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice, if we reasonably believe:

• You have violated these Terms
• Your use poses a security risk to the Service or other users
• Continued provision of the Service to you is no longer commercially viable

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect (including Sections 7, 10, 11, and 14).

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
• Material changes will be communicated through the app, release notes, or our website
• Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms

If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, India.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SlideLynk regarding the Service. If you access SlideLynk through the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the iOS application: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.

SlideLynk uses open-source software components. Applicable licenses and attributions are available within the desktop application (Help > About) and in the source repositories. Use of open-source components is subject to their respective license terms.
